101 in 1001 days

I've been inspired to make a list of 101 new things to try in 1001 days. {inspiration: Design Darling.} It's not quite as dramatic as a Bucket List (death is not the deadline), and not quite as stressful as a post-it to-do list that lingers on my desk and taunts me every hour of every day. I'm all for happy mediums. Check it out and let me know if you're inspired to start your own!

1. Try stand up paddle boarding. {@ Lake Wingra with Melanie, 6/23/15}

4. Complete my first Wisconsin triathlon! {completed the Wisconsin Triterium Triathlon 6/28/14}
5. Tour another Wisconsin Brewery Lakefront with Becky in September 2015
6. See a Badgers football game at Camp Randall. finally!
7. See a Cubs game at Wrigley Field (Chi-town's close enough) 7/12/14 & 6/13/15
8. Tour the Madison Capitol building (8/30/14 with parents)
9. Check out Picnic Point  (6/29/14)
10. Go tubing down the Sugar River (8/2/14)
11. Go to Lambeau field (9/25/16)
12. Dip my feet in all 4 of Madison's lakes 9/26/15 with Becky!
13. Visit the Cave of the Mounds 3/28/14
14. Visit Door County
15. Check out the Kohler American Club
16. Go snow-shoeing in the winter.
17. Go to a Mallards game.


*"Sconnie" is a popular term for Wisconsin native, so these are things in the area I want to try out while I still have my roots in the midwest.

30. Read the Lord of the Rings trilogy
31. Determine which country Casablanca is in. Then watch Casablanca.
32. Go see an author on a book tour. Emily Giffin!
33. See a Cirque Du Soleil Tour

34. Go to Europe (!!) Spain (!) in November of 2015
35. Visit the Grand Canyon with my family.
36. Take my sister(s) on a New York City weekend trip. Weekend of 4/24/15 with Becky!
37. Go see a Detroit Lions game with Stephen.
38. Complete a language in my duolingo app.
39. Visit at least 3 new states. (Done! Nevada, Oregon, Michigan)
40. Explore California  (San Fran, Carmel, and Yosemite, 9/19/14-9/28/14)
41. Take a trip to the Caribbean


42. Send Christmas cards one year to at least 25 people.  {December of 2014}
43. Send someone "surprise" flowers.
44. Come up with 101 things! (hopefully by end of June 2014) November 2014, better late than never!
45. Buy a real camera (no more iPhone photos)
46. Learn how to use said camera.
47. Send someone surprise Baked by Melissa Cupcakes.
48. Cook dinner 7 nights in a row (deemed hardest item on list)
49. Write and mail 10 birthday cards.
50. Buy an Address book - and update it with family and friends' addresses!
51. Write at least 10 more letters to Lizbeth in Mexico. {in progress 3/10}
52. Donate 35 objects to Goodwill.
53. Go a month where the only thing I shop for/buy is food.
54. Go a full week without biting my nails.
55. Send a surprise care package. Becky for year end in June 2015!
56. Take a golf lesson.
57. Run a "real" 10k
58. Survive a Cross Fit class.
59. Be vegetarian for a whole week.
60. Give up candy for month.
61. Run 3 miles before work for 5 consecutive work days
62. Drink 8 glasses of water a day for a full week
63. Don't eat out for an entire month

65. Try out a rowing machine. 3x in one week.

98. Write a freelance article for a magazine
99. Write 100 pages of a memoir (or faux memoir)
